As the flamboyant hairdresser who clipped the locks of WWE rivals in the ’80s and early ’90s with his trademark shears, Brutus “The Barber” Beefcake was all about two things — cuttin’ and struttin’. A marquee Superstar during WWE’s national expansion in the 1980s, The Barber battled rivals like The Honky Tonk Man and Mr. Perfect and competed in main event matches alongside his good friend, Hulk Hogan, at SummerSlam ’89 and WrestleMania IX. But Beefcake’s greatest accomplishment may have been his defiant return to the ring in 1991 after a freak accident nearly ended his life. First introduced to the WWE Universe as an arrogant member of “Luscious” Johnny Valiant’s Dream Team, Beefcake won the World Tag Team Championships with Greg “The Hammer” Valentine in 1985. But Brutus found his true calling when Roddy Piper defeated Adrian Adonis in a Hair vs. Hair Match at WrestleMania III. At odds with Adonis at the time, Beefcake hit the ring to help Hot Rod snip the villain’s golden locks and was reborn as The Barber in front of more than 93,000 WWE fans.
The Outer Rim Praxeum Lightsaber School was founded in August 2025 and is based out of Fairmont, WV. While many of our duels look choreographed, they are not. We train our students with the seven forms of lightsaber combat in what we call a performance martial art so our duels look clean and choreographed yet are highly competitive. We love giving back to the community and entertaining not only kids, but adults as well. We have taken our talent and demonstrated it at many events such as Cause-A-Con, JediCon, local Christmas parades, and so many more! The Black Mountain Guard is the West Virginia chapter of the Mandalorian Mercs Costume Club. We are recognized by Lucasfilm as an international costuming organization dedicated to celebrating the Star Wars universe through the creation, display, and wearing of quality character costumes that represent the Mandalorian characters and culture from the Star Wars sagas. The MMCC promotes interest in Star Wars and facilitates the use of these costumes for Star Wars-related events as well as contributing to the local community through costumed charity and volunteer work.
DualCon is February 11, 2023 at the Charleston Convention Center in Charleston, WV. The con will feature Table-Top Gaming (RPGs, board games, miniature games, card games, LARPs) and Video Gaming (console games, mobile games, computer games, arcade games). We will have game creators (of both table-top and videos), podcasters, and other guests along with different cosplay and gaming groups. There will be a cosplay contest, panels from our guests, and a charity auction for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention as well.

Nubzcosplay, a nerd with a nub from Morgantown, WV A self-taught artist, I’ve been cosplaying a few years now and keep experimenting with different techniques and materials. My favorite thing to do is take a character and put my own twist on it. I’m most known for my Iron Fist, Red Hood, Skeletor, and steampunk cosplays. I’m all about cosplay positivity and cosplaying for fun! There’s no wrong way to cosplay! I love all things nerdy, but specifically, comics, cartoons, action figures, and costumes. I love animals but adore cats as they have a special place in my heart and try to help rescue them. I also love using my passions to help benefit charities whenever possible.
